PAGE 1: VINTAGE MPC KITS

The ALIEN Kit

This was another seminal film that truly and successfully fused sci-fi and horror. I remember being freaked out by just stills of H.R.Gieger's twisted work of brilliance, first captured in model form in this great kit.

The DARK SHADOWS Kits

Vampires in prime time are by no means a product of the "Buffy" generation. Back in the 70s, Jonathan Frid was creeping out the airwaves as Barnabas on a weekly basis, long before those amateurs hit the scene!

The DISNEY Kits

Highly prized and sought after, MPC released these kit series in the early 70s based on Disney attractions and films. The Haunted Mansion and Pirates kits also featured the dynamic "Zap-Action!" Can you say rubber band?

The STAR WARS Kits

The all-time great space fantasy, Lucas's galactic saga is really an elaborate fairly tale - with lazers. And all the elves and goblins and such are fuzzy, squishy aliens. These were among the first great kits of these modern classic icons.

The WACKY RACES Kits

Another set of Krazy Kharacters Kareening around in Kustom Kars [and using up all the Kapital K's], with a slapstick cartoon series as the source material. Some of these designs fared better than others when moving from animation cel to 3D model!

The YELLOW SUBMARINE Kit

The psychadelic fantasy of this freaky film is still very satisfying today. I could wander around in a Peter Maxx landscape for days. This is a great sculpt of the Beatles' cool aquatic conveyance of choice.
